Where are you from? Where do you live?

I was born in Tolmezzo, 50 km from Udine. It’s five years that I am based in Paris.

How old are you?

28 y.o.

How do you pay your bills? Are you working as a professional photographer?

Mostly doing art direction in advertising. No, I am not a professional photographer.

What cameras do you use?

Only film cameras: a very old Yashica, a minox 35mm, a minolta, a polaroid sometimes.

What/who do you enjoy to shoot the most?

People. And stuffs not interesting to be photographed.

Do you believe in god?

Big question…depending of definitions…If you mean god as a supernatural creator, no, I don’t believe in it. But it’s complicated, I am an atheist  in trouble with the human supremacy.

Any photographer or artist inspiring you?

Philip Lorca di Corcia, Stephen Shore, Saul Leiter, Nan Goldin, William Eggleston, Martin Parr, Thomas Struth…but I am constantly checking out younger photography generation, too (Chaad Moore, Colin Lafleche etc…).  

Last but not least I love artists from XVI century. The gaze of a man painted from Tiziano? Incredible.

What do you drink on a night out?

Beer and/or wine. 

Do you like dancing?

More then like… “I would believe only in a god that knows how to dance.“ said Nietzsche. (Damn it! I should use this for the previous question about god…)

Naaan.

What’s your favorite tv series?

Twin Peaks and Californication

What’s the country of your dreams?

I guess I was a gipsy in another life so impossible to answer. I’m dreaming everywhere.

Have you ever been to Iceland?

Not yet, too cold.

What song would you choose for a slideshow of your work?

A melancholic one, something like “what can I give you ” by Nick Cave. I don’t know if it really fits with my photos but it fits with myself any case.
